Refund Policy

Last updated 27 August 2026

Unused credits can be refunded within 14 days of purchase. Write to contact@nihadaslanzade.com with your order reference and we will arrange it. You do not have to give a reason.

Bought in the iOS app? Apple handles those refunds, not us. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. The policy below still describes what we will support you in asking for, but the decision and the money are Apple's.

1. Try it before you pay

When you first use Wascripts, you get five free transcriptions with no account or payment details required. They exist so you can find out whether Wascripts works for your recordings before any money changes hands. We would rather you used them than asked for a refund later.

2. What can be refunded

  • Unused credits, within 14 days. Refunded in full, no reason needed.
  • Partly used purchases, within 14 days. We refund the proportion you have not used. If you bought 50 credits, used 8, and ask within 14 days, we refund 42 credits' worth.
  • Anything charged in error. A duplicate charge, a renewal after you cancelled, or a charge you did not authorise is refunded in full, whenever you find it.
  • Service failure. If the Service was unavailable or defective in a way that stopped you using credits you had paid for, we refund them regardless of the 14 day window.

3. What is not refunded

  • Credits you have already spent on completed transcriptions, once the 14 day window has closed.
  • Dissatisfaction with the accuracy of a transcript on its own, after the 14 day window. Automated transcription is imperfect and this is stated plainly before purchase, which is exactly what the free transcriptions and the 14 day window are for.

A failed transcription never costs you anything: the credit is not deducted in the first place, so there is nothing to refund.

4. Monthly plans

You can cancel a monthly plan at any time. Cancelling stops all future charges. The period you have already paid for runs to its end, and the credits added to your balance for that period stay yours to use.

A plan bought in the iOS app is cancelled in your Apple Account settings rather than in the app, because Apple, not us, holds the subscription. Deleting the app does not cancel it. A plan bought anywhere else is cancelled from the app itself.

If a renewal charges you after you cancelled, or renews when you did not intend it to, tell us and we will refund that renewal in full.

5. How to request a refund

Where to go depends on where you bought.

Bought on this website or in the Android app:

  • Email contact@nihadaslanzade.com with the order reference from your receipt. We reply within two business days.
  • Contact Paddle directly through the link in the receipt they emailed you. Paddle is the merchant of record and can process the refund without going through us.

Bought in the iOS app:

  • Request the refund from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, or through the receipt Apple emailed you. Apple is the seller and only Apple can return the money.
  • To stop a subscription renewing, cancel it in your Apple Account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
  • Write to us anyway if you think a refund is warranted. We cannot issue it, but we can confirm to Apple what happened on our side, and we will.

6. How the money comes back

For purchases made on this website or in the Android app, refunds are issued by Paddle.com Market Ltd, the merchant of record for the original sale, and are returned to the payment method you used. Paddle normally completes this within a few business days, though your bank may take longer to show it. Any sales tax or VAT charged is refunded along with the purchase price.

For purchases made in the iOS app, refunds are issued by Apple to your Apple Account payment method, on Apple's own timeline and at Apple's discretion.

When a refund is issued, the corresponding credits are removed from your account balance.

7. Your statutory rights

This policy sits on top of your legal rights, it does not replace them. If you are a consumer in the EU, the UK or another jurisdiction with a statutory right of withdrawal or a legal remedy for faulty digital services, that right applies in full regardless of anything written here.
